What is Indicator?

Indicator is Ninety One’s online valuation service for the OEIC, SICAV and Guernsey B Schemes. Institutional clients, financial advisors, individual clients, and nominees have 24 hour access to valuations and transaction histories in their preferred choice of currency. This service is also open to Brokers/Agents and enables them to view all their underlying clients


How secure is Indicator?

Indicator has been designed to ensure maximum security and is secured by the most advanced Internet technologies currently available. In addition, our technologies are tested and monitored frequently to ensure absolute security is maintained at all times. For further information on Indicator and Ninety One’s security policy can be found via the following page, available by clicking here.


How do I register for access to Indicator?

To register, please go to https://indicator.ninetyone.com/, select the link “Indicator Registration” and complete the online application form.

If you are an agent or broker please enter your broker/agent code/s where it states portfolio/account number


How long does it take to get a username and password?

It will take no longer than 3 working days to issue your username so depending upon where you reside please allow at least a week for your username to be delivered to your registered postal address. In the interests of security we will only issue your password once we’ve had signed confirmation via fax or post that you’ve received the username. We aim to deliver your password via email within one working day after receipt of this confirmation


What should I do if I have forgotten my password?

In the event of you mislaying or forgetting your password please go to https://indicator.ninetyone.com/ and select the “Forgotten your password?” link just below where you would normally log in.


How do I change my password?

Once you have logged in to Indicator, there is a Change My Details tab at the top of the screen. In the interests of security we strongly recommend that you change your password to something only you will know. Once you have finished please close all browser windows. This will ensure your password is not retained in the browsers cache – This is especially important if you share your computer.


Why have I got more than one username & password? Is there anyway you can consolidate both usernames & passwords?

This may be a result of an administration error or down to earlier versions of Indicator requiring you to have one username and password per holding depending upon where the fund was registered. If you think this is the case, please email [email protected] with the details and we will now be able to consolidate these holdings conveniently under one username


How often are the prices updated?

The majority of the funds we manage are priced daily at various different valuation points throughout the day The price reflected in Indicator is updated one working day after the fund is priced. This may vary from time to time because of public holidays in the jurisdictions our funds are registered.


Can I buy and sell online?

We do not offer this functionality at present, and therefore Indicator’s functionality is restricted to online valuation and transactional history only.


What products can I view via Indicator?

Retail Investments that we manage via our operations in London, Guernsey, and Luxembourg can be viewed via Indicator. If you are an Investor in our South African range of Unit Trusts Click here for details on how view these online.


How do I print?

To print any page in Indicator, please select “print this page” or “printer friendly version” option on the top right of most pages within Indicator.


Can I download valuations and/or transactional history to Excel?

Yes. In order to do this please click on the Excel icon found on most of the pages within Indicator.


How can obtain a valuation in my preferred currency?

There is a drop down list of all available currencies on the top right hand side of the valuation pages within Indicator. Please select your preferred option to automatically view your valuation in that currency.
